We woke up late and spent time planning our coming trip to Myanmar. The country dubbed as “Asia’s final frontier has a limited number decent and affordable accommodation. We didn't want to miss a good deal, therefore, some planning was required.
After spending a few hours on Booking.com (the best online website to book accommodation in Burma), we boarded a boat to cross the Chao Phraya River from the Tha Tien Pier. For only 4 baht, we alighted on the other side where we found Wat Arun also nicknamed the Temple of the Dawn.
The Admission was 50 baht per person and of course, we had to cover our knees and shoulders out of respect. We explored the main towering Prang with its four smaller siblings. The corn-cob like structure was beautifully decorated with amazing colourful carvings. The details were incredible. The temple was slightly different from most other temples you will see in Bangkok as it’s not loaded with gold decorations.
Visiting rooftop bars was one of the coolest things we wanted to do in Bangkok. We looked around and elected the Sky Bar, an impressive rooftop bar in Thailand's capital. Known as the highest open-air bar in the world, and made world-famous by hosting the Hangover II filming, the 360-view over the city skyline was breathtaking as we were sipping on a delicious (but very pricey) cocktail.
