Gili Air to Canggu: Heading to Bali's Surf Town
After 3 days of snorkeling, diving, swimming and just chilling out in Gili Air, we were leaving for Canggu on Bali's southwest coast.
Located twenty minutes north of Seminyak, Canggu was less touristic than its southern neighbor. The village was home to many expats and surfers drawn to its legendary waves. Indeed, the area was well known for its surfing breaks, and that's why we were headed there.
The fast boat from Gili Air to Bali took about 1.5 hours, delivering us to Padang Bai or Amed, followed by a drive across Bali to reach Canggu on the opposite coast.
