We were templed out and did something different, refreshing and fun. We headed to the world’s biggest 3D art museum called 'Art in Paradise', the first of its kind in Thailand’s North. And guess what? The experience was so amusing we didn't see the time flying.
With over 130 paintings, we explored the artworks spread over eight different zones ranging from aquatic to surrealism to Ancient Egypt. We appreciated how incredibly clever, sharp and attractive each painting was. We were running like kids and couldn't wait to see what the next corner would bring us. It goes without telling we took dozens of photos with the wackiest and most dramatic poses.
We downloaded the augmented reality app, AIP Chiang Mai, built by The Illusion Art Museum. The application made the paintings come to life as we were watching them through the screen of our phones. It truly adds up to the whole experience and we can't recommend enough to instal the app. Not only we were taking pictures, but we also made surreal movies of us being chased by dinosaurs or being trapped in a snowball...
So download the app, bring a good camera, a tripod, your best sense of humour and the museum will be a terrific experience with or without kids.
